Level I Introduction to Kayaking:
Level Ia. Gear, Boats and Strokes: This half-day clinic focuses on the basics of kayak and gear selection, basic kayaking strokes to get you on the water, and basic safety skills. Learn how to paddle efficiently in sit-inside or sit-on-top kayaks. Clinic can be taken alone or with the following Rescue course to make a full day class.
Level 1b. Basic Rescues and Recoveries: This half-day clinic is highly recommended for those who want to paddle sit-inside sea kayaks and want to take the next step form Level Ia. Learn how to deal if you or a friend capsizes while kayaking. This class involves getting wet and having fun. No one should go out in rough or open seas without having these skills!
