  A 6hr Hands-on Course\nPool Lesson & Kayak Demo\n\n\nIntroduction to Kayak
 ing is a six-hour course focusing on skills needed for any type of kayak in
 cluding but not limited to sit on tops\, recreational\, touring\, whitewate
 r and inflatable kayaks. Presentations include an overview of modern hull d
 esigns and equipment\, dressing to paddle safely and potential paddling haz
 ards. In the pool\, simple rescues are demonstrated by the instructor combi
 ned with the paddling skills practiced by students to maneuver safely and c
 omfortably on still water. Designed as a stand-alone course\, students desi
 ring more intensive skills would proceed to Essentials of River Kayak\, Whi
 tewater Kayak or Kayak Roll courses to continue the learning and refinement
  process\, depending on their interest and kayak type.\n\nThe class will be
  taught using a variety of whitewater\, recreational and touring kayaks.  T
 he price for this class is $75\, and includes all kayaks\, gear and pool re
 ntal. All you gotta do is show up with your swimming suit!  If you want to 
 bring your own kayak and gear\, you're welcome to - but please make sure it
  is clean before entering the pool.\n\nA $25 non-refundable deposit will be
  required to reserve your spot in this class. Cash\, check and credit card 
 are accepted.  The balance will be due before class begins. \n\nPlease arri
 ve early to change into your swimming clothes. Class will begin promptly at
