THE ANCHORAGE ADVENTURERS We seek year-around outdoor adventure. These activities are inherently dangerous. Most of our events require strong safety awareness, good personal fitness, intermediate/advanced skills, and quality outdoor gear. The Kenai Peninsula Outdoor Club is a group of fun loving outdoor enthusiasts. We meet every third Wednesday of the month at The Albatross at 7 PM to plan our monthly activity calendar. These activities range from the non-strenuous beach bonfire to the more challenging hike up to the Harding Icefield. We plan mountain biking trips, kayak adventures, group camping trips and much more. This is a group specifically for people who like to AT/Tele ski or snowboard the Alaska backcountry in the winter and mountain-bike or paddle (kayak, packraft) in the summer. If you like to play in the snow or in the dirt or on the water, then this group is for YOU! There are no leaders for these trips, so participants are expected to have appropriate skills to be self-sufficient in the backcountry.
