This group was started because several Meetup members have expressed an interest in kayaking and canoeing. We all know it's always more fun and safer to go paddling with others. Our activities include backpacking, hiking, camping, bicycling, canoeing, kayaking, rafting, cross-sountry skiing and dog sleding. Founded in 1982, CIWC has over 150 members. CIWC is a non-profit volunteer-run club organized for the purpose of providing affordable wilderness adventures. Each year CIWC conducts trips ranging in length from one to ten days to destinations as diverse as southern Indiana, the Grand Canyon and the Smokey Mountains.
